An Introduction to Stained Glass. One Day Course: £130 per person

An introduction to the traditional craft of stained glass, the techniques of which have hardly changed since the 12th Century.  In this one day workshop, you will learn to design and make a simple stained glass leaded panel. Pre-designed options are available, either to use or for inspiration.  You will learn to cut glass, lead up, solder, cement, clean and polish your panel and will go home with a stunning piece of glass art.

An Introduction to Copper Foiling. One Day Course: £130 per person

Learn the basics of Copper Foiling, a technique alleged to have been invented by Louis Comfort Tiffany to enable him to use smaller pieces of glass in delicate patterns for lampshades, 3D objects and windows.  You will be shown how to design a small panel, mirror or sun catcher, cut and grind glass, foil the edges and solder it together. You will then clean and polish your work and it will be ready to take home.

An Introduction to Glass Fusing. Half Day Course: £60

Have fun playing with glass, glass powders and frit and make coasters or a glass picture tile that can be framed and hung on a wall, or placed in a window. You will learn to cut glass, how to safely use glass powders, frit and metal inclusions and the basics of the firing process. All materials are supplied. Your fused glass art will need to be picked up at a later date, after it has been fired in the kiln, or I can post it to you.
